Hiking - Kalvträskleden

Length: Approx. 30 kilometres in total.

Route:  Close to Kalvträsk.

The trails begin at Kalvträsk Vildmarkscamp.

Description: The trails cross hills, streams and rivers, and pass through forests and fens towards Avaberg, with beautiful views of the lakes of Holm-träsket and Vitträsket.

Good to know: The main trail is structured so that you can take shorter stretches if you wish – anything from two to ten kilometres. There is also a shorter stretch alongside the lake of Kalvträsket , which has been adapted to suit those with disabilities or pushchairs. Boathouses, wind shelters and fireplaces are available at the Avaberg village.

Points of interest: The Björngrottan cave at Vitträsket, the old fire tower at Vitberget (now a viewing tower), and the nature reserve at Vitbergens naturreservat.

Responsible for the trail: Kalvträskgruppen
