Understand the world- meet the Radio Correspondents

Skellefteå

Swedish Radio's foreign correspondents take the world home to you!

Sveriges Radio's correspondents are at the scene. From our dispatchers around the world, you get lightning-fast news reporting, but also in-depth information and background to what has happened. You get to hear the voices and meet the people involved. Our hope is that it makes the world a little more understandable.

The world today is both connected and interconnected. Digital attacks in one country can have consequences for the election campaign in another. Conflicts and food shortages in a region can affect migration in an entire continent. Political decisions in the capitals of the great powers have consequences for everyday life on the other side of the globe.

For a number of years, Swedish Radio has therefore invested in foreign coverage. Today, we have the Nordic region's largest foreign editorial office with 23 employed correspondents. At a time when journalism and freedom of expression are under attack in more and more countries, we think thatit is more important than ever that journalists are on site and can report on developments. To understand the world better, both knowledge and presence are needed.
