To the Bottom

Stage 4, Skellefteå

A story about personal destinies in the shadow of the war, a unique woman and her strength that held a family together.

"Waving blue and blue behind blue. Grand aunt on land and in the middle of the fjord her island: my childhood paradise. It flashes and shines in the dark sea - big, invincible - while opposition to the German occupation grows. When the doorbell rang on March 18 "In 1944 he went to open. And did not return. What can be forgiven?"

Ragnhild A. Mørch is Norwegian and German. In this performance, she unites the childhood memories of golden southern summers in Norway with her family's story - a puzzle of stories that spans three generations. Stories that testify that Norwegian-German history does not only consist of broad lines but is about personal destinies. And that it is the individual's choice that then determines the way forward. A tribute to an outstanding woman and her strength that held a family together.

BOTTOM unites storytelling, poetry, two languages and cardboard poetry.
