Caspar Camitz

Stage 1, Skellefteå

Caspar Camitz participated in TV4's Idol last year and was praised by both viewers and the jury for his unique and deep artistry. His expressive appearances have resulted in over 3 million views on Youtube. In June, Caspar released his debut single "Andas" and on August 27, another single "Spring" is released.

- The song really feels like a summer breeze, light, hopeful and fun. But behind it hides something more serious, not daring to say sorry. The lightness of the song acts as a counterpoint to the seriousness of the lyrics. A dance between the dark and the light in being vulnerable, honest but also hopeful, says Caspar about the meaning of the song.

Caspar Camitz is 26 years old and grew up in Roslagen in a musical family where song and music have been a common denominator. For the past eight years, Caspar has played and sung in his own band Katmanlo. During a "jam" with three of the band members, the seeds were sown for the new single "Andas", an up-tempo instrumental idea that was combined with an exchange of personal notes and reflections to create what became the song's lyrics.

During the autumn, more music from Caspar will be released, both in Swedish and English.

"It's soul, it's blues and of course a little rock mixed in there, Caspar describes his sound in the new songs.

Sweden and the world warmly welcome a new star with new exciting music.
