Sabina Zweiacker - Memory and Time

Stage 1, Sara kulturhus, Skellefteå

Now Sabina Zweiacker is visiting Nordsken and Skellefteå in a unique and stripped-down solo concert together with Caroline Karpinska (violin) and Gerda Holmquist (cello). Experience intimate and sensitive interpretations of beloved songs from, among others, The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Skyrim, and Final Fantasy in a spellbinding performance.

She has been praised both in Sweden and internationally for her performances with songs from film, TV, and games, and her interpretation of Skyrim's "The Dragonborn Comes" has over 25 million views on Youtube. She has been a soloist with Scandinavia's largest orchestras, such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, the Oslo Philharmonic, and for six years in a row with the Radio Symphony Orchestra in the sold-out Berwald Hall.

During her 13 years as a freelance violinist and composer, Caroline Karpinska has played with hundreds of artists in various genres and she has appeared on over 50 albums. You have been able to hear her in the string quartet Vindla, together with renowned artists such as Ola Salo, Linnea Henriksson, Tingsek, Moto Boy, and as musicians in several productions at Malmö Stadsteater.

Gerda Holmquist is a cellist with a classical background who specializes in experimental music creation. Together with Nathan Larson (A-Camp) she runs Subchamber Ensemble and with him, she has also made music for a number of films and TV series. In 2020, she released her first record in her own name, Wormwood Cello Sessions, together with Pär Davidsson.

Memory and Time is a production of Pazuzu AB / Orvar Säfström.
