Skellefteå's medieval days 2024

Joyfully and creatively, we aim to narrate the Viking Age and the Middle Ages. Our goal is to spark interest and curiosity about that era in the world, Sweden, and our locality. We seek to portray the life that a medieval person could lead, emphasizing the brighter aspects of the Middle Ages.

Children hold a special place during the medieval days and they can participate in activities such as the heroic game "Guardian of the Island." Additionally, visitors can experience jousting, and knightly combat games, try archery, engage in various medieval crafts, listen to captivating lectures, and participate in workshops. Visitors can also enjoy medieval music and entertainment from medieval artists, among other attractions. A market will also be available during the event. Admission is free.
