Women's work for life - an invisible story - Skellefteå Library

The City Library, Skellefteå

The focus of the lecture is twenty women born at the beginning of the last century. They tell about their lives and conditions in relationships, childbirth, home and professional life, and about their health.

This also applies to women's responsibility for household, care and relationship work in the home and in public. It is a responsibility that is not counted, or is counted, as work but is necessary for the well-being and health of all people. Women's own health was and continues to be dependent on self - determination over life choices, work, finances and their own bodies.

Lecturer: Annika Forssén is a general practitioner and associate professor at Umeå University. Together with Gunilla Carlstedt, she has researched women's work and health and published the book "Work for life"
