THINK: Shahrzad Kiavash - What do you do when things don't turn out the way you planned?

Stage 1, Sara kulturhus, Skellefteå

Shahrzad Kiavash was 28 years old, healthy and happy when she suddenly contracted a very rare form of sepsis (blood poisoning). The doctors gave her minimal chances of survival. Miraculously, she survived, but at the cost of amputation of both her lower legs.

With this new, grim reality, she could have chosen to give up. Instead, she chose to gather her superpowers and work up a drive so strong that she not only managed to fight her way back to life, but beyond.

In 2015, Shahrzad Kiavash, with no previous experience, completed an Olympic triathlon; 1500 m swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running with prostheses. She could have been satisfied there, but she would move on to set new, higher goals.

Shahrzad Kiavash tells a story that can be thought to be heavy and sad with humor, warmth, seriousness and a twinkle in his eye. In addition to inspiration, laughter and tears, valuable keys, lessons and insights that can be used and applied by anyone are also promised.

This is a lecture about daring to be brave, about setting goals that may sound unattainable to others, about self-realization and about making the "impossible" possible!
