CHILDREN'S CULTURE DAY

1 OCTOBER 10.00-15.00 IN SARA KULTURHUS

Children's Culture Day is a day filled with activities for children and young people and their adults.

On Saturday 1 October, Sara Culture Center will be filled with events and activities for the little ones and their adults! The theme for the day is friendship and peace - and we have a series of program items that connect to this theme in various ways.

Come to see theater, music and storytelling performances and participate in workshops with different art forms.

The children's culture day are carried out by the culture and library department in collaboration with the Folkrörelsearkivet,Culture School, MAN, Skellefteå museum, Västerbottensteatern, Nordic Storytelling Centre, Nöjesfabriken and SARA culture house.

SCENE 2

12.00 - 12.30 and 14.00 - 14.30 Come and dance on the waves of the sea.
Together we set out on the seven seas, where we meet the dolphin, the jellyfish and the starfish. Finally we end up on an island, where Pippi Longstocking has found a treasure map. She needs our help to find the treasure.

A dance workshop with dance teacher Veronica Faxén Forsström.

SCENE 3

10.30 - 11.30 and 13.00 - 14.00 The story of Zoki
A playful story time for children and adults about the elephant Zoki, who is considered a gray, ugly and boring "hang-and-throw-away". How does one not be like that, or does everyone have to be the same to fit in? In the jungle, Zoki finds the answer to his question!

Storyteller: Theresa Eriksson, drama teacher at the Nordic Storytelling Centre

SCENE 4 13.00 - 13.50 Mira – the girl from far away
On a cold winter's evening, the Girl knocks on the door of a lonely little cottage. Svea, who lives inside, really wants to be alone, but still decides to open the door. There is something about the Girl. She looks and is different. She laughs and sings for seemingly no reason and speaks a language no one seems to understand. It awakens something in Svea. A longing to also laugh and play with others - it awakens a desire to belong.

Age: 5 years and up.

NOTE! The character Mira also circulates in the house about 20 minutes before the start of the performance.

SCENE 5

14.05 - 14.45 Come and sing along Hey mate!
When "Hey mate" comes on stage, there will be loads of lovely and catchy songs. From the very beginning, the children are given the opportunity to participate with the help of movements and dance.

10.00 - 15.00 Forskarbyrån & department for unknown persons.
A fictional detective agency with strong historical elements of both play and learning, office game a bit like it used to be.

With the archive pedagogues from Folkrörelsearkivet in Västerbotten and the museum pedagogue from Skellefteå museum

THE CULTURAL STAIRCASE

10.15 - 10.30 and 11.30 - 11.45 The scarf - a dance performance for children
How does a boring everyday life turn into imaginative play? Can an everyday scarf that is itchy and scratchy provoke curiosity and bring laughter? Halsduken is a dance performance interpreted based on the book of the same name written by the Västerbothnian author Stina Stoor. The performance is a celebration of play and imagination while at the same time touching on relationships and the tenderness that arises when we get close to each other.

Choreography: Sanna Lundström, Artistic director: Kajza Rauhala Dance: Dansväxthuset, Skellefteå Dance and Ballet. Produced with the support of: Dans i Västerbotten, Region Västerbotten, KF Mullberget

Black Out Poetry and Cut-up poems. Participants can create poems based on two different methods. Series strips Complete the series with text and/or image. Continue the story! Based on written introductions in different genres, the participants can write further on the story.

10.00 - 15.00 Small crafts workshop
With needle and thread you sew a little friend, it can fit on your finger or have a little filling. On the small rope machine "Snoddas" you can make a long rope that you then share as a bracelet with a friend. Other little surprises can also be made!

10.00 - 13.00 Children's painting.
Come and paint with your child! With brushes, hands or the whole body, we discover color and painting with all our senses. We use, among other things, edible colors made from, for example, water, potato flour or turmeric. With a drama teacher from the School of Culture.
