The Destroyer
Stage 2, Sara kulturhus, Skellefteå
Through the actor Maria Kulle, we get to take part in this intricate story where diary entries and memory photos provide the keys we need to understand.
What actually happened?
One day there is a knock on Christina's door and there is a man she is superficially familiar with from the church she recently visited with a friend. In his hand he has a bag of belongings – and his six-year-old son. They are homeless and maybe Christina can help them? The meeting at the door will prove fatal. The husband and son move in and three years later Christina has gone into personal bankruptcy and has been forced to leave her home. How could this happen?
It is a story of good and evil, of mental abuse, co-dependency and denial. About a living space that shrinks bit by bit.
The play is based on a true story.
