Jesper Odelberg and Bandet Går: Not quite 100
Folkparken, Skellefteå
DHR celebrates 100 years! NOT QUITE 100 is a performance about the fragility of life and the struggle to maintain human dignity, delivered as a mosaic of experiences from Jesper Odelberg's life. Performed with humor, seriousness, song, and music.
Jesper Odelberg tours with the band Går.
- It will be a show with humor and seriousness and a lot of music. We have a great band that I am incredibly happy to be a part of, says Jesper Odelberg.
Jesper Odelberg is an experienced artist, mainly known as a stand-up comedian but has also acted on stage and on the radio, appeared on Norwegian television, and he writes his own songs.
- You can say that I am down in the swamp, says Jesper Odelberg. We will perform both my works and those of others.
The tour is part of DHR's centenary, which will be celebrated throughout the country in 2023.
A few years ago, Jespers Odelberg's life was completely up and down, with a body that was exhausted, full of pain, and a variety of ailments, and problems that limited his life. He decided then and there to fight and get through and then celebrate with a musical performance together with his band.
- Jesper Odelberg is a fantastic artist and an icon within the functional rights movement. We are extremely proud and happy to celebrate our centenary together with him, says Åsa Strahlemo, confederation chairman of DHR. He mixes laughter and pain in his performance and is one of the many who have contributed to making those with reduced mobility more visible in society. Besides, both he and DHR were born in Gothenburg, so we have a lot in common!
