Who knew bad customer service could be so entertaining? In the meeting with hotel receptionists, we can be fascinated by the friendly, cool, professional treatment of this profession, always with a smile and where the sense of service reaches right up to the folded tab of the hotel room's toilet paper.
In the performance "Receptionists", the illusion of perfection and professionalism is shattered when the phone rings and panic begins to spread among the two reluctant receptionists at the five-star Star Hotel.
The Helsinki-based new circus collective Kallo Collective and the actors/acrobats/clowns Inga Björn and Kriistina Tammisalo offer an impressive skill in both muscle control and comic timing in their fast-paced battle against the customer meeting.
The interplay between the two actors and an alternating narrative with interactive audience encounters keep the audience captivated and laughing in this absurd little performing arts gem.
A performance for adults, children and young people that works equally well no matter what language you consider yourself to be fluent in, because these receptionists speak both everything and nothing.
