It is an exciting story in which legends, tales and also court records testify that something actually happened in the Finnfors forests during the 16th century.

But what is actually the truth and what is borrowed from other sources and legends?

The popular local historian Ulf Lundström has devoted most of his professional life to history, researched, written books about local history and he previously worked at the Skellefteå museum. Nowadays he is retired and an appreciated lecturer.
