Author visit Linda Jones
Linda Jones is a journalist and author from Luleå. She made her debut in 2019 with the youth book Bete sig, which was awarded the Norrlands literature prize. This year saw the release of the book De tar allt ifrån mig, a youth novel about the dismantling of a society in the sparsely populated area of Norrland.

The book is about 15-year-old Frida, who is a new hunter. She dreams of following in her mother’s footsteps: becoming the leader of the hunting team and getting moose blood on her boots. Hunting is the only thing left in the village. Everything else has been taken away from them.

But when an unknown animal appears in the forest, the county administration cancels the moose hunt. This fall, everything is put to the test. Instead of a long-awaited hunt, a fight begins about who has the right to decide over another person’s life. Besides the hunt, there is Emmy, something about her is not right. And Frej with black nail polish, why does he want to hang out with Frida?
