Christmas with Solala and the Skellefteå Chamber Choir

After the successful tour stop on Sara Kulturhus' main stage last winter, Solala returns to the same stage for a Christmas concert together with the Skellefteå Chamber Choir. Come and let yourself be absorbed by the Christmas spirit when this powerful vocal trio and the soon-to-be-famous choir offers not only Solala's own Christmas arrangements, but also music by and including the Skellefteå Chamber Choir.

Solala is a Swedish a cappella group from Gothenburg that since 2012 has gained attention through their videos on YouTube and Facebook where they sing their own arrangements of well-known songs in a kitchen environment and play on various kitchen items. They have released five studio albums, the latest of which contains self-written music. They have also participated in Allsång at Skansen and made covers together with famous artists in Solala's Sessions.

Skellefteå Chamber Choir was formed in 1971 by the music profile Henry Åkerlund and quickly became an institution in Skellefteå's cultural world. Over the years, the choir has collaborated with a number of famous artists, including the Chess ensemble, Ray Charles, Nils Landgren, David Lindgren and several other large and smaller choirs. The repertoire is broad - the choir tackles everything from show and pop & rock to art music, classical and church music. The choir has also participated in a large number of international choir festivals and competitions. Artistic director and conductor since 1987 is the award-winning choir director Leif Åkesson.

Cloakroom: located adjacent to the stage for the event. The fee is included in your ticket.
Admission: about 30 minutes before the event starts.
Food & Drinks: are not allowed in our stages.
