In the head of Thomas Andersson

Trappscenen, Sara kulturhus, Skellefteå

In Swedish.

Meet the fiddler and storyteller Thomas Andersson! For more than two decades, he has been one of the leading figures of storytelling as a performing art in Sweden. He has made fantastic performances and regardless of whether he tells the story with the violin or the words, his artistry is based on managing and bringing alive the music and storytelling traditions of Västerbotten. In the book "I köksbordets trollkrets" he talks about his writing and how oral storytelling is a very special kind of folk art - an art form that has existed in all times and in all contexts.

Here we meet him in an artistic talk with NBC's head of department Robert Herrala. What is going through the head of storyteller and fiddler Thomas Andersson right now? Which artistic ideas does he want to realize and what can he say about his upcoming show "Skapelsen"? And surely he will let us listen to his fiddle!
