Knitting café at Nordanå

Welcome to a knitting café in the exhibition "Kulturkoftor och sagotröjor" at Skellefteå museum! (Culture cardigans and fairytale sweaters)

We share stories, talk about knitting and knit. You can bring your own knitting, otherwise there is also a community knitting on site. Take the opportunity to experience the museum's latest exhibition as well, on the theme of knitted sweaters. Here you can find everything from replicas of Mymlan's dress and Kurt Cobain's cardigan to the actual sweater worn by polar adventurer André!

Knitting cafe for all knitters.

During the Christmas holidays, January 4 at 10.00-12.00
We knit straight stitches. Suitable for ages 7-11 years.

During the Christmas holidays, January 4 at 13.00-16.00
We set up and start knitting a pair of mittens or a hat. Suitable age 12-15 years.

Knitcafé is an arrangement of Handens hus in collaboration with Skellefteå museum. We meet in the exhibition "Kulturkoftor och sagotrojor" on the second floor of the museum.
