Hjortronmyren - Ulrika Lagerlöf

Boliden's library, Skellefteå

Ulrika Lagerlöf talks about the book Hjortronmyren, which is inspired by her own family history. Her mother grew up in Bastuträsk in Västerbotten, and in the early 1940s her grandmother worked as a cook in a logger's cabin.

"Hjortronmyren" is the first part in the series "Timmerfolk", a romance suite where the women are at the center of the story about the magnificent Swedish forest and the conflicts that surround it.

Ulrika Lagerlöf works with communications within the forestry industry. She lives in Uppsala and debuted in 2021 with Stanna hos mig.
