In the award-winning performance Tschandala/Tattaren, Lindy Larsson, backed by the celebrated orchestra Bon Bon Band, offers a personal theater concert based on her origins. He gives a voice to the traveling public and makes visible a blind spot in our Swedish history that echoes into our present.
The performance tackles big and complex questions about exclusion and abuse, but also about survival, healing and liberation. It is a musical manifestation, high-voltage Romani music without a safety net and an urgent measure to preserve a threatened minority, the Romani people. It is a revision of Swedish history and a punk showdown with Strindberg and the short novel "Tschandala". Lindy has been awarded several times for her efforts on stage and for the performance. Tschandala/Tattaren is produced in collaboration with Strindbergs Intima Teater
