Learn to skate!

Skellefteå

On Saturday, September 21st, we will kick off a new session of our popular skating school. In the skating school, you or your child will have the opportunity to learn how to skate in a safe and joyful environment.

The skating school provides a solid foundation whether you want to play hockey, start figure skating, or just skate for fun.

You need to be 3 years or older to participate in the skating school. Adults are also welcome, and no prior experience is required. We divide participants into groups based on age and skill level.

The skating school meets on Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 9:15 AM in the B-hall at Skellefteå Kraft Arena. There are a total of ten sessions until Christmas, with one practice session per week (with breaks on certain weeks). The first session is on September 21st.

Our trainers can teach in both Swedish and English.

You need to register in advance through our website.

You will need skates, a helmet, and gloves to participate. If necessary, you can rent children’s skates from the club.

Skating aids are available to borrow on-site if your child needs extra support to feel secure the first few times.

At the skating school, participants have the opportunity to earn so-called Leo badges, which come in eight different colors. Each color represents a different level of difficulty. Leo 1 is the first badge, and Leo 8 is the last and most difficult one.

(The next session of the skating school starts in January 2025).
