Welcome to take part in a 15-minute guided tour of Leif Engström's exhibition Natten vilar mot balkongdörren/The night rests against the balcony door. We have coffee and talk about his visual world.
Leif Engström has in a short time made a name for himself in the Swedish art world through his poetic and atmospheric landscape paintings. A recurring motif is the relationship between architecture and vegetation, where human presence is reminded, for example, through an illuminated window or an open balcony door.
The element of the everyday, that which evokes a state and mood rather than a portrait of a specific place, is central to his painting.
