The annual cycle of the pollinating insects

Skellefteå

Note! In Swedish

The lecture is about our pollinating insects, who they are, when they wake up in spring, what they need during the summer, and when it's time to retreat for winter hibernation. We will discuss the ecosystem services these insects provide and the food on our plates.

The speaker, Angelika, is the Vice Chair of the Nature Conservation Association for Västerbotten County and the project leader for "Pollineraförmat.nu."

She has been actively involved in issues related to ecosystems, ecosystem services, and biodiversity for many years. Over the years, she has developed a deep interest in our pollinating insects and their impact on our future food supply.

Location: ABF Skellefteå’s Skalman venue (located within Medlefors Folkhögskola).

The lecture is approximately 45 minutes, with a short break and a discussion. Total time is about 2 hours.

Pollineraförmat.nu will provide refreshments! Free admission, but registration is required. Register here.
