As night falls, you’ll set off with your guide through a quiet forest outside Skellefteå, far from artificial light. Moving on wide “forest skis”, designed for soft snow and off-track terrain, you’ll glide silently through the winter landscape. The pace is calm and easy – this is a mindful experience rather than a sport.
Midway through the tour, you’ll stop at a campfire to enjoy a light snack and a warm drink while your guide tells stories about the northern lights and the Arctic forest. When ready, you’ll continue skiing under the stars, scanning the sky for the dancing aurora borealis.
All ski equipment is included, and the tour is open to beginners. You only need to bring warm clothing, gloves and a sense of curiosity to experience the beauty of winter at night.
