A warm, musical storytelling performance from one of the legendary names in Swedish music.

Ann Kristin Hedmark, one of Sweden’s most beloved and versatile singers, invites you to a unique evening where song meets conversation, memories blend with music, and a life lived in melodies takes center stage. In the program My Own Path, she looks back on 60 years of music, encounters and milestones, sharing what it has meant to be a woman carving out her own space in Swedish musical life.

Inspired by Berndt Egerbladh’s classic TV format Two and a Grand Piano, Ann Kristin generously shares the stories behind her career, from her breakthrough in the 1970s to meetings with Lee Hazlewood and Cornelis Vreeswijk, and performs cherished songs from her rich repertoire. Special focus is given to her collaborations with female writers such as Kristina Lugn and Kerstin Thorvall, voices that have helped shape Ann Kristin’s songs into reflections of women’s everyday lives and experiences.
