Division 7 have chosen their own path in a time when trends come and go. By stubbornly staying true to themselves, they have in just over three years, released two acclaimed full‑length albums, two EPs, and a rowdy live album at a furious pace. For anyone looking in from the outside, the recipe for success is clear: an endless stream of strong songs combined with a furious, well‑oiled live machine that has worn down mile after mile of Swedish roads.

Without support from major labels or established music media, the band has steadily built a remarkably devoted audience. Division 7 has become something resembling a football team, with supporters who make every live show boil like a stadium during a heated derby.

On March 27, Division 7 return with the album Långbro feelin. For the first time, the band has brought in external producers, Axel Jonsson‑Stridbeck and Gustav Erlandsson Holmqvist. The collaboration has sharpened the sound and highlighted the band’s core in a new way.

What remains is the indie band the audience has learned to love, but now with an added dimension. As the band themselves put it: “We can smile too.” The darkness is still there, but now there’s room for a more positive outlook and a controlled dose of playfulness.

The year 2026 has kicked off at full speed. After following up the single successes “Huvudet högt,” “Det stör mig,” and “En ny bomb” with their biggest show to date at Fållan, the band is now shifting gears once again. In their latest single, “Himlen i handen,” Division 7 join forces with none other than Thomas Stenström. The collaboration marks a new milestone for the band and cements their position as one of the country’s most exciting indie acts right now.
