Dreams of public health and a wooden cultural center - Burträsk

Elisabeth Lindmark shares her book about Doctor Sigrid Nygren's unique life work.

Sigrid Nygren became a well-known figure in Skellefteå. She was the first private practitioner in all of Norrland. She served on both the municipal council and the county council, where she advocated for the importance of culture for public health.
Elisabeth Lindmark has been inspired by Sigrid's own memoirs, the stories from her descendants, and the author's own imagination. Elisabeth herself has many years of experience as a doctor at the Norrland University Hospital.
