Exhibition - Tactile Tracks

– an exploration of an artist's processes and materials.

From November 29 to December 16, there is an opportunity in the northern staircase of Sara Kulturhus to see an exhibition by the artists who participated in the project Tactile Traces.

Tactile Traces has developed through two interconnected phases, which are now brought together in an exhibition. In October and November, the project was initiated through a series of public workshops in the Art Workshop at Sara Kulturhus. Led by the four invited artists Stina Persson, Maja Delborn, Tuva-Lill Eserstam, and Moa Märta Markgren, participants received a direct introduction to specific techniques and artistic approaches.

In the completed exhibition, the artworks are combined with the physical traces, methods, and experiences contributed by each individual artist. The presentation is deepened by new short films produced in connection with the autumn workshops, which are shown both in the exhibition and on Skellefteå Art Hall's website.

In the films, the artists reflect on their career choices, personal motivations, and the conditions of contemporary artistic practice. By emphasizing the tactile experience, visitors are given a unique opportunity to see their working method both in the workshop and in the final spatial arrangement.
