Agnes, 42, runs the successful lifestyle blog Everyday Life by the Coast. For her 95,000 followers, she paints a picture of a life filled with calm, presence, and well-polished everyday moments. But behind the images, there are cracks. Her marriage to Henrik is creaking at the seams, and after a misstep on a trip to France, Agnes no longer knows how to move forward.

Despite a strained relationship with her mother Eva, she flees to her house, convinced that it is empty while her mother is on vacation. But just as Agnes has made herself at home, she is surprised by Eva, who appears to have been in an accident. What has happened?

Both mother and daughter carry secrets, carefully hidden from each other and the outside world. In their encounter, reality begins to push through the many layers of filters, misconceptions, and self-deceptions that have built up over the years.

Filter is a dramedy about the loneliness in our narcissistic contemporary world, about how our digital lives can create distance rather than closeness, and about relationships that require more than perfect images to survive.
