ALL THAT NEVER HAPPENED
We all carry our background thoughts of small ideas and feelings that never really let go. They follow us in silence, sometimes as light as laughter and sometimes so heavy that they almost crack in our chest.
It's the promise of that journey that always began with a “we should really…” or the dream of starting a salsa course. The band you and your best friend started in eighth grade. The world's best band entirely without instruments, without songs, without rehearsals at all. But the logo, it still settled somewhere behind the ribs.
And then there's the other. The child that never came. The reconciliation that always lay “for later” until there was no later left. Or the love that never got the right season, the move that never happened, the job we never applied for, and the courage we didn't find at that moment. That version of ourselves that still sits on the edge of consciousness like a sketch of how it could have turned out.
When we think of all that never happened, it can warm just as much as it stings. So perhaps that's why we sometimes suddenly tell: about the almost-kiss that vanished in the bus's brake lights, about the friend we never got to say sorry to, about the puppy that got a name but never a home, about the life we glimpse passing by when someone else takes the step we never took.
And maybe it's in those very stories — in all that never happened — that we discover what we still long for.
Storytelling Power 2026 is searching for those moments.
During two intense workshop weekends, this year's scholarship holders have explored the theme and, with the support of mentors Theresa Eriksson and Lillemor Skogheden, shaped their own stories. Now it's time to share them.
Welcome to listen, be touched, and be inspired.
We believe in the power of storytelling to awaken understanding, build courage, and create empathy.
And we believe that your presence makes a difference.
Welcome to listen!
