Norrdans presents: Núx Brúx

A physical and sonic tale about the night as a space for resistance, desire, and collective longing. Here, a carnivalesque world unfolds — a charged realm of revolt and tenderness, of togetherness and metamorphosis. Inspired by folklore, nocturnal beings, and revolutionary stories, the performance becomes a force of its own.

Núx is the ancient Greek word for “night,” while brúx stems from the root meaning “teeth grinding.” Together they form Núx brúx — a poetic description of grinding one’s teeth in sleep. With touches of magical realism and collective dream states, the night opens as a portal: a place where new ways of being together can be sensed, where bodies glow, dissolve, and reassemble anew.
