SE26 Exhibition

How is a society shaped – and what role can you play in the future? Explore Skellefteå’s transformation in an interactive exhibition for all ages.

SE26 Exhibition is built around four themes, moving from nature and the history of the place to innovation, community development, and future challenges. Energy is the common thread running throughout the exhibition, connecting nature, people, and the future as you move through the different spaces.

In SE26 Exhibition you can follow the journey of water through an interpretation of Finnfors Hydropower Station and discover the people and innovative ideas that have helped shape the region. The exhibition highlights the operators who kept the power running in local communities, the aerial ropeway between Kristineberg and Boliden, Alimak’s first elevator, and the visions that continue to shape Skellefteå today.

Your presence influences the experience, and in several parts of the exhibition the environments respond to the way you move through the spaces.

SE26 Exhibition is aimed particularly at children and young people, but is designed to engage visitors of all ages.

The exhibition is on display at Skellefteå Museum until 15 August 2027 and is presented in Swedish and English.
