When Seinabo Sey broke through with songs like Younger and Hard Time, something shifted in the international music landscape. With her deep, soulful voice, equal parts strength and vulnerability, she quickly established herself as one of the most distinctive artists of her generation. Yet it soon became clear that she had no intention of staying within the confines of commercial pop. Seinabo Sey has always followed her own compass.

On the acclaimed album The One After Me, she stepped away from the pace of the present moment and into a more meditative and exploratory sonic landscape. Here, her voice was allowed to drift freely among organic textures, subtle nods to Swedish folk music, and melodies that unfold slowly, like a journey through memory, identity, and time.

On March 13, she releases her fourth album, Välkommen hem (“Welcome Home”), her most personal and poetic work to date. For the first time, she sings entirely in Swedish, a choice that for her represents a deepening rather than a change. It brings her closer to the stories she wants to tell, the images she evokes, and the emotions she explores. Through the singles Hitta någon, Slott av luft, Gudarna, Crazy, and Yasins bön, she opens the door to an album where the landscapes of childhood meet the longings of adulthood.

This autumn, Seinabo Sey will embark on an extensive concert hall tour, opening in Copenhagen on October 1 and concluding in Skellefteå on December 5. It will be a tour
where her voice, one of Sweden’s most expressive instruments, takes its rightful place: at the center of the room, close to the audience.
