Steamin' Jesaja
Story so far… Steamin' Jesaja is still treading the narrow path to fame, but on their way there they take you back to the smoky blues clubs of 1950s Chicago and in the next moment digging into the rhythm of a “Memphis Rockabilly Slap Special”. With influences from the old American blues heroes and early Swedish role models, the harmonica and guitar licks are softly wrapped in lulling bass lines. Steamin' has played at festivals and stages ranging from the Oulu Jazz & Blues Festival in Finland to the Berseel Castle Blues & Rock Festival in Belgium.
The band was formed back in 2001 initially as a house band on the local TV channel back home in Skellefteå. Harmonica player Lars Lundberg and drummer Nicklas Bränberg were already competing together in "The Wyatt Earp Band"...Skellefteå's answer to Faboulos Thunderbirds". Guitarist Per-Anders Andersson fronted his own Stevie Ray/Jimi Hendrix band "Steamboat Bluesband" and bassist Urban Åhdén went from the country & western band "Native sons" to what would become Steamin' Jesaja.
Steamin' Jesaja consists of:
Lars Lundberg, singer/harmonica
Urban Åhdén, bass
Nicklas Bränberg, drums
P-A Andersson, guitar
