Tilde Schweitzer, named Jazz Musician of the Year and Breakthrough Artist of 2024, is one of Sweden’s youngest and most prominent big band leaders and arrangers. She has written for several of the country’s leading orchestras, including the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Radiojazzgruppen, Bohuslän Big Band and the Wermland Opera Orchestra, and tours with artists such as Benjamin Ingrosso, Darin and David Ritschard.

Her newly formed big band released its debut album Vintage Magazine! in spring 2024. The album was named Big Band Record of the Year by LIRA Musikmagasin and nominated for Album of the Year at the Dalecarlia Music Awards. The band, made up of a new and hungry generation of jazz musicians, interprets last century’s popular music through Tilde’s inventive formats and arrangements.
