Welcome to an inspiring workshop where we, with the help of Posca markers, explore what happens when we dare to let go of control and allow the image to take its own unexpected paths.

Find the joy of creation without pressure. The focus during this workshop is neither on performing nor creating a perfect result. Instead, we will together focus on experimenting, surprising ourselves, and most importantly, having fun in the process. We will use the Posca markers to draw and test new expressions. As a starting point, we can either work from a photo of your choice on your mobile phone or draw from a fellow participant in the art workshop. It’s a perfect opportunity to challenge your creativity in a permissive and playful environment.

The workshop is led by Johan Lindström, a versatile artist, illustrator, and animator based in Skellefteå. Johan has a background in the gaming industry and many years of experience in visual storytelling. In his own artistic practice, he moves freely between the playful, the exploratory, and the socially critical. He is particularly interested in issues of identity, power, class, and norms, as well as how images influence our perceptions of ourselves and our surroundings. Johan enjoys working with various materials and contexts and has been recognized for his unique interpretations using Posca markers in public spaces.

A workshop for young adults and adults.
Max 20 persons, first come, first served, price: 150 SEK, payable on site.

Organized by: Skellefteå Art Hall in collaboration with KKV Skogen

-------------

In autumn and winter 2026, Skellefteå Art Hall will present the art project Tactile Traces. Through public creative workshops, we focus on artistic learning, creative processes, and local anchoring. The project's goal is to highlight professional artistic practices that have a connection to our community. Through Tactile Traces, we aim to build bridges between established artists and the public, where visitors receive a unique insight into how a work emerges – from motivation and method to finished result. Each artist will lead their own session in The Art Workshop at Sara Cultural Center on October 22, 2026: Stina Persson, October 29, 2026: Maja Delborn, November 5, 2026: Johan Lindström (in collaboration with Skogen), November 12, 2026: Tuva-Lill Eserstam, November 19, 2026: Moa Märta Markgren, November 26, 2026: Alexandra Boman (in collaboration with Skogen), December 3, 2026: Lotta Johansson (in collaboration with Skogen)
