On October 21, the art of Alice Elveros and Lotta Stenberg comes together in an exhibition exploring the inner world, the cosmos and what it means to be human.
Alice is 17 and has always loved painting. Now, she is exhibiting her art for the very first time. Her work places women at the centre, exploring both personal and societal constraints, but also freedom itself.
Lotta Stenberg’s art moves through cosmic landscapes and flows of energy. Her vibrant paintings draw inspiration from her own inner journey.
Two artistic expressions moving between the deeply personal and the boundlessly cosmic.
You are warmly welcome to the opening at Hubben on October 21, 6–8 PM, Free entry
Alice Elveros
Women are at the heart of Alice Elveros’ art. Through explorations of the body, the mind and our relationships, she portrays experiences that hold both intimacy and constraint, vulnerability and strength.
Her paintings explore themes such as the relationship between mother and daughter, the female body and the feeling of being trapped – within oneself or by society’s expectations.
There is also a longing for freedom, for taking up space and for being able to live on one’s own terms.
Lotta Stenberg
Through colour, light and movement, Lotta Stenberg creates vibrant worlds where the cosmic meets the personal. Inspired by the universe, the forces of nature and the mysterious, she allows her paintings to emerge intuitively, layer by layer, until new worlds take shape.
Having painted since childhood and studied at art school in the early 1990s, Lotta eventually found her way back to painting after a long break. Today, creating art is an essential part of her life – a way to explore and express things that cannot always be captured in words.
