Festival of Lights

As darkness falls, we light up Skellefteå's winter lighting and fill the center with light and music. Join us for the official inauguration and experience how the center shines for the winter.

The evening begins with the lighting of the light arch, the award received by Skellefteå in connection with being named City Center of the Year, followed by a short opening speech.

The evening then continues with a walk along the pedestrian street, beneath trees dressed in lights and past light installations illuminating the city centre. There will also be a spectacular fire show during the evening.

A large part of the winter lighting has been made possible by property owners and businesses in Skellefteå in collaboration with Skellefteå Municipality and Visit Skellefteå.
