InfoPoints

There are three InfoPoint locations in Skellefteå, in addition to our Tourist Center. An InfoPoint is a service counter where the staff on site can give tips on visiting places of interest in the Skellefteå region.

InfoPoint – Arena Bjuröklubb

At the Bjuröklubb lighthouse you have a fantastic view over the sea and the nature reserve. There is a lookout ramp allowing everyone, including the disabled and people with wheelchairs, to experience the magnificent nature of Bjuröklubb. The lighthouse with accommodation possibilities can be rented all year round and the summer café is well visited by both old and young.

InfoPoint – Skråmträsk Kvarn

Welcome to a KRAV-certified café in a mill environment. A White Guide café in the countryside. After a careful renovation, Skråmträsk Kvarn has been transformed into a well-visited summer café where you can enjoy good coffee and simpler dishes. You can choose between sitting outside in the sun or drinking your coffee indoors in a genuine mill environment. In addition, the staff there can guide you to your next destination in Skellefteå.

Burträsk Experience Center

Do you want to experience Västerbottensost® cheese with all your senses? Then come to our Visitor Centre in Burträsk.

The history of Västerbottensost® cheese goes all the way back to 1872 when dairymaid Ulrika Eleonora Lindström created the legendary recipe. According to the legend, a suitor disturbed her while she was working and it took longer than it should have to curdle the milk. And it is this love story that created Västerbottensost cheese. We can only retell the legend, not whether there’s any truth to it...
