Folkparken

An almost century-old tradition of culture and entertainment. As early as 1925, Skellefteå Folkets Park opened its doors for the first time. The establishment was received with great enthusiasm and soon became a meeting place with outdoor activities such as dance, music and fun.

In time, it became a little too crowded and in 1973 the main building itself was built. Through it, Folkparken was able to expand its offer, with meeting activities and other indoor activities. At the turn of the millennium, the McWell pub was added and today the Folkparken is a large and versatile facility both indoors and outdoors. We have hosted all possible and impossible events with everything from the original dance and music business to conferences and broadcasts. Outside of our area, you will also find volleyball pitches, skateboarding and flea markets.
