WELCOME TO THE BEST SKIING ON THE COAST! Alpine ski resort in Skellefteå municipality along Västerbotten’s coast with 13 slopes. There are also top-class cross-country skiing trails.
PISTE MAP
We have 13 slopes, 4 surface lifts, and 1 platter lift.
The drop height is 125 m, the longest slope is 1,350, and the lift capacity is 4,500 passengers/hour.
There are four large parking areas at the top station and platter lift, with three parking areas at the valley station.
KIDS IN FOCUS
We have a children’s slope with a platter lift that is monitored at all times. And, when it’s sunny, our mascot Loi often comes out to say hi!

We have skiing for those who want to go big and, for those who want to try out skiing, come and give it a go!
SKI LODGE
At the top station you can enjoy coffee, snacks and lunch, and we serve a buffet on the weekends! There is also a ski shop, ski rentals, lift passes, stalls, changing rooms and toilets.
CAMPING
Our camping facilities are located near to the slopes. There is a common room with shower/toilet, washing machine, kitchen, dining area, TV and WiFi. There’s even sauna and a couple of barbecue huts!
GREAT CROSS-COUNTRY SKI TRAILS
Close to the ski slope you will also find great cross-country ski trails of various lengths, which are taken care of by the local association. Some of the trails are illuminated. The trails tend to be highly popular.
BUY A LIFT PASS ONLINE
We’ll load your ski pass for the days you want to go skiing and you can use it as many times as you like! If you already have a ski pass, you can top it up it from home!

Bygdsiljumsbacken opened in 1943 and has grown from a small ski slope to a resort that is open every day during the winter season. We operate as a non-profit organisation run by people who are passionate about all the different elements at the resort. In winter we have 13 slopes, a ski shop with ski rental, a ski school, a top station with a restaurant and café, camping and holiday village. Our bike park opened in 2012 is now Västerbotten’s largest for lift accessed mountain biking. It has a total of 9 trails and is expanding every year.

Bygdsiljum is located about 60 km from Skellefteå and about 70 km from Umeå. Buses run to and from Umeå and Skellefteå on weekdays. Not Saturdays or Sundays. On Saturdays during the peak season we have a ski shuttle from Umeå to Bygdsiljum and back. Read more about the ski shuttle on the resort’s website.
