Marranäsvältan Nature Area

Skellefteå

Marranäsvaltan - a changing artwork created by nature itself. What happened at this place? Has a meteorite struck down here?

The Marranäsvalta in Fällfors is powerful! It may sound like a cliché, but it's really something out of the ordinary. One of nature's own creations as a result of melting of the inland ice when large quantities of sand were deposited and which now follows with the groundwater flows into the river.
