Kåge marina, Lillhällan and Bergskär
Skellefteå
BOATS, BATHS, AND CLIPS
Kåge marina is Skellefteå's largest guest harbor, located in Kågefjärden with a harbor café that is open in summer. Just outside Kåge marina is the island of Bastuholmen with the destination Lillhällan which has been adapted for accessibility.
Lillhällan has smooth, bath-friendly rocks that reach almost down to the water. From Lillhällan there is also a walking path to Storhällan on Bastuholmen's westernmost headland which has a high lookout cliff with a barbecue area. If you do not have your own boat, you can take a boat taxi from the Kåge marina.
The hilly island of Bergskär, which is located at the entrance to Kågefjärden, was once important for the military protection of Kåge harbor. Bergskär is today a popular excursion destination. The island is characterized by its lighthouse which was taken into use in 1893. Nature consists, as the name suggests, mainly of cliffs and sparse forest. The island invites explorations among military relics or picnics on the cliffs.
