Everyone who visits the Wilderness Mine is offered to see a shorter film in connection with the mine visit.

If you are looking for an activity, maybe not in the trees, we can recommend you to explore the Wilderness mine. This area is one of the most rich areas of minerals in the world. It attracts people from all over the world! You can explore it, yourself. You can also have a look at 55 different minerals that was found when they where mining between 1936 to 1946.

The entrance includes:

• Loan of helmet, boots, mining coat, and flashlight. Even a fleece jacket if you think it's cold.
• A guide film that you get to see before you go down and explore the Wilderness Mine on your own.
• Free-roaming around the area among open pits, mining lava, etc.

If you want a personal and more in-depth guide, you can pre-book a very good guide.

In the area, you can wander around and look at traces from times gone by when mining was going on, such as open pits, test pits, tailors and warp piles, the smithy, and an exhibition with pictures and other things from that time.
