Can museum Rolig & Rusk

Burträsk, Skellefteå

Villvattnet's first business started in 1880 in the house where the can museum is located today.

Tomas Lindberg collected cans from when he was young. When the Lindbergs bought this house, it became interesting to set up and build a store in the old Västerbottensgården, a can museum in other words.

Many cans are pure works of art. And many people have a relationship to them. Many stories exist.

A visit to the can museum is a nostalgic experience. There is a lot here, from garter belts and buttons to various packaging.

Some hardware, paint, oil cans but mostly from food items from the late 1800s to the present. At the same time, it is a story about our livelihood both for agricultural production and the development of sparsely populated areas.

The can museum is located a bit out in the forest, 7 miles from Skellefteå. An old expression was "the mountain", the Burträsk forests were called in a working context.

The can museum is open when someone is at home, call before your visit.
