Cultural History Walk at Nordanå

Skellefteå museum, Skellefteå

(This event will be held in Swedish) Tuesdays this summer, you are welcome to join the museum's archivist Jörgen Andersson on cultural history walks* through Nordanå Park and its surroundings.

Did you know that there was once a sawmill below Landskyrkan, or that there used to be a health spring by the river? The area from Nordanå to Lejonströmsbron was formerly called Körran and originally belonged to the Prästbordet estate. On this cultural history walk, you will learn more about the area between Nordanå and Lejonström, and you can take the opportunity to ask questions to the museum's archivist!

The walk, which lasts about 1 hour, begins at the museum entrance and ends in Bonnstan at chamber 304, where you are welcome to step inside and get a glimpse of what life there might have looked like in the 1800s.

Each guided tour is unique, and you are welcome to participate in several.
The tour is free of charge!

The cultural history walks take place every Tuesday at 12:00 PM, from June 18th to July 23rd.

*Maja Östlund will guide on July 16th and July 23rd.
