Bureå Local History Association

Bureå, Skellefteå

Bureå Hembygdsförening , founded in 1955, is affiliated with the Västerbotten County Hembygdsförbund with its 220 members. One of the cornerstones of the homeland movement is to care for the homeland and local cultural heritage.

“A living hometown open to everyone!”
The motto of the Homeland Movement, adopted at the Swedish Homeland Association's national meeting in 2017.

The goal of Bureå Hembygdsförening is to continue the work of creating an attractive and interesting cultural and historical destination, which we can be proud to showcase. A vibrant local area that can be both useful and enjoyable for residents and visitors, today and in the future!
