Farled
Skellefteå
Title: “Farled”, 2025
Technique: Lead loops, plastic sheeting.
Location: Svalan, towards the E4.
Art consultant: Anna Karin Larsson
Parts of Skellefteå city are often described based on how they are geographically located after/along the river. "On the southern side", "upstream" etc. A sign of how important the river has been (and is) to us. In homage to the location of the work, Svalan - where we are now planning our continued waterways, with an eye towards the E4 and - the river - our river where we have traveled. With the timber.
One of the first waterways in the Skellefteå area to be declared a public waterway; Skellefteälven in 1886.

SHIRLY HOLMBERG
Shirly Holmberg, architect & artist in Västerbotten. Educated at the School of Architecture, KTH Stockholm. Shirly likes to move in the borderland between architecture and art and where the expression should be allowed to be ephemeral /temporary. There is always a landscape present in what she creates, and the connection between body - landscape is something she often returns to, especially the forest with all that it implies. She works with both large and small formats but now returns more often to the larger ones
