Storytelling walk: Tranrop – storytelling walk in Sara Lidman's footsteps
NOTE! The tour is in Swedish
It is exactly 50 years since Sara Lidman moved home to Missenträsk to write The Book - which would become the great Jernbaneopeset. Alongside her novel work, she was a frequently hired speaker, not least in Skellefteå at public meetings and demonstrations.
Now we invite you to a storytelling walk in Sara's footsteps that starts in the cultural stairs on the ground floor of Sara Kulturhus. There we get the answer why the house is actually called Sara Kulturhus before we walk further towards the current Scandic hotel. We visit three places where Sara Lidman has previously spoken and at the same time get little tidbits from the speeches, including "Tranrop" that she gave at the opening of the old library.
The narrator on the walk is Ellenor Lindgren from Västerbottensteatern. Ellenor has extensive experience working with Sara Lidman's texts and life in many ways. She is, among other things, behind the exhibition in Missenträsk "Sara in the Village - the Village in the World", she is Sara Lidman's voice in the documentary film "Sara with all her being" and has dramatized/acted the performances "Lifsens rot" and "Lev" based on Lidman's texts.
