Magnus Betnér - Between us - 2026

Stage 1, Sara kulturhus, Skellefteå

Between Us – There are more ways than one to look back on Magnus Betnér’s career. On one side, he is seen as a truth-teller, a voice of reason, and provocatively honest—according to many. On the other, he is raw, self-revealing, and, to some, honestly quite provocative. Few have stirred more emotions than Magnus Betnér during his countless tours across Sweden.

If Inget är heligt, Tal till nationen, and Livets ord built the persona of Magnus Betnér, then 2026 is the year we finally get to know Magnus. In a funny, revealing stand-up show, an aging comedian (despite all evidence to the contrary) wants to show a new side of himself—or perhaps, a picture with more colors than the black-and-white image most people have.

>>Between Us<< is more than just a show title—it’s an unspoken contract between Magnus Betnér and his audience, one that has been signed for over 20 years. Not because what’s said is necessarily secret, but because it’s an extended hand, a mark of authenticity, proving that what we experience tonight is just for us. And as Magnus embarks on his first major tour in over a decade—alone on the poster—you can be sure it will be something special.

This is the story of Magnus, the kid with a diagnosis, and Betnér, the two-child father figuring out life’s puzzle—and everything he holds dear at fifty. And a bit about what still amazes him.

For the past ten years, Magnus Betnér has toured as part of various ensembles, while also pushing forward with his ongoing Work in Progress tour. While some might think “why change a winning concept?”, Magnus wants to dig deeper to find the core of it all.

Expect traces of ADHD, fragments of social analysis, and maybe even a celebrity or two up for discussion. Fans will recognize the humor, fans will be surprised. Welcome to a stand-up show that is as uncomfortable as it is inviting—and between us, absolutely hilarious.
