Bell Trio consists of brass musicians who met while studying at the University of Music in Hannover, Germany. The name comes from the bell-shaped part of their instruments - trumpet, trombone, and horn - which is called a bell in English.

From these brass bells comes a dynamic musical expression, best known for its strength and power, but also offering lyrical melodies with a soft tone.

The program includes original compositions for brass trio in a modern-classical style, full of powerful rhythms and mystique, along with playful melodies and beautifully familiar summer songs. The repertoire features works by Anthony Plog, Vaclav Nelhybel, Hugo Alfvén, and Wilhelm Peterson-Berger.

Ensemble Musicians:
Lina Nyström (Sweden) began playing trombone at Skellefteå’s Cultural School. She studied at Lilla Akademien, pursued her bachelor’s degree at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, and is now continuing her studies in Hannover. As a freelance musician, she has performed with Norrlandsoperan, the Swedish Armed Forces Music Corps, and the Swedish Chamber Orchestra.

Juliette Bégin (Canada) plays trumpet and has been the second trumpet in the Orchestre Philharmonique du Québec since 2023. In 2022, she won first prize with the ensemble Volantys in the Valleyfield chamber music competition. She is now pursuing her master’s degree in Hannover.

Mai Kaketani (Japan) plays horn and earned her bachelor’s degree at Doshisha Women's College of Liberal Arts in Japan. She is now also studying for her master’s degree in Hannover and is already an active freelance musician in the German cultural scene.
